It’s caddis time on the South Platte River near Deckers. An assortment of larva and pupa is effective mid day. 77 year old Earl Bachenburg landed this South Platte beauty on a caddis larva. Caddis larva and pupa has been the mainstay on many sections of the South Platte. It’s hard to go wrong with a size 16-18 Buckskin, Mercer’s Swing Nymph, or a Barr’s Graphic Caddis when the caddis are emerging.
